Best-Kept Secrets To Finding Treasure – #9

Wet Ground Means Deeper Depth! A good heavy rain will make the digging easier and give greater conductivity to to the targets in the ground. I have found this to be so true, that I can hardly wait when the weather forecaster says a strong rain storm coming my way. Silver dimes and other small coins may be found at six or seven inches deep in average dry soil conditions (in low to moderate mineralized soil) with a good detector. They are found one to two inches deeper in moist soil following a good rain storm. The result? Previously unreachable targets are now in the reach or detection depth of your metal detector.

Love the wet stuff. Large mans 925 silver ring found at 10″ and a 1944 Merc dime found at 9″. Both in beautiful shape. Both in my yard.
